I come to this work from my heart-centre. An open heart is a channel for universal love and compassion; it guides the hands and directs the mind. My fulfillment is helping individuals, families and communities to recognize, realize and honour what is sacred to the living and dying. My solemn oath is to honour today and live each day filled with appreciation, gratitude, kindness, and in meaning-making.
I am deeply committed to death reclamation to build meaning and community for dying individuals and their families. I have cared for the living and the dying, both human and animal, throughout my lifetime; including personal losses of family members, friends, and their loved ones.
Friends, family and colleagues describe me as empathic, loving, spiritual, sensitive, grounded, collaborative, curious, open-minded, reasoned, a caring mother and friend who is above all a deep listener who puts plans into action.
I have over 25 years of professional experience in health care with skills ranging from: practical nursing, peer counselling in sexual health education, pregnancy-loss, research; policy development, administration and management, health systems change, knowledge transfer, organizational development, public engagement and communications planning. I participate as core member to a Lower Mainland community of death care reclamation practitioners.
I am a natural intuitive and psychic sensitive. In February 2014, I suffered a cardiac arrest with total loss of life functions while undergoing a routine heart catheterization for which I received advance cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. I experienced what is commonly known as a near-death experience (NDE). I am one of few individuals who have passed through the veil of living into death. In my recovery have lost all fear of death, my natural empathic and sensitive capabilities have been heightened, and I discovered new sensitivities and ways of knowing. This includes channelling healing energy and mediumship.
I dedicate and direct all my life efforts to the loving and compassionate Divine Feminine, delivering me from death back to this life.
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings.
Just for today, I will not worry.
Just for today I will not be angry.
Just for today, I will make an honest living.
Just for today, I will be kind to everything that has life.
